Asking For a Friend: Generation X vs. Generation Z

My dearest friend, Starr, is someone I’ve known all my life and the one person in this world whom I can totally relate to. We are both Gechee women with eerily similar childhoods. I decided to make this story about something she shared with me last night.

When Starr’s youngest son was born, she was in awe of what a beautiful baby he was. What I don’t think he realizes is that he was the baby she sincerely wanted, because her heart was aching. She had a son already, who was his own little person and often behaved a lot like her ex-husband…
